Non-stop riding club activity for coming months

Last week’s club meeting painted a very rich picture of competitive and non-competitive activity for members — most of it on our doorstep. It’s difficult to find space for our regular Friday activities in a calendar over-flowing with shows and events. In summery, this is what we have to look forward to: National Hunter Trials,Continue reading “Non-stop riding club activity for coming months”

Stunning weather for St Patrick’s weekend ride-out

There are days when one wakes up to the sound of pelting rain and howling gales, dreading the prospect of dealing with daily horse routines. And there are other days when one looks out the window at a brilliantly sunny morning with a hard frost whitening the landscape and wonders what else could be better than ridingContinue reading “Stunning weather for St Patrick’s weekend ride-out”

It just isn’t meant to be… For the second year in a row our weekend away at Millers Hill has been cancelled because of wet ground. What a shame. Great luck for the Treasure Hunt, now fingers crossed for Millers Hill

Friday evening’s treasure hunt over new territory in the hinterland of Ramelton was a resounding success. 14 riders hunted Francis’s cryptic clues and Marina, Rachel and Enda were the victors as the teams arrived back to base in the dusk. Nadine and Damien provided wonderful hospitality with fresh scones and blackberry jelly to match theContinue reading “Great luck for the Treasure Hunt, now fingers crossed for Millers Hill”
