It would probably do all of us good to get in a dry run over a course of jumps before our show on Saturday 23. We plan to have clear round jumping at Cyril’s on Thursday 21. Orla will be doing the course building on Wednesday so anybody who can give a hand will beContinue reading “Opportunities for a dry run before our show”

Schedule for our Autumn League Show & Team Show Jumping Challenge, Saturday 23 October
Rachel has been working out the finer details of our upcoming league show. The date has changed from Sunday 24 to Saturday 23 October but the venue remains the same. The value of a completely indoor set-up was clear last year as the rain pelted relentlessly over the roof of Eglinton. Annual ‘End of Summer Show’ at Deanes, Sunday 22 August
The AIRC’s big event this weekend is the National Dressage Championships but, since it takes place in Tipperary, it’s hardly surprising that none of our members are competing. A more local alternative is Deane’s End of Summer Show in Bruckless where you can try your hand and hooves at dressage, show jumping and cross country.Continue reading “Annual ‘End of Summer Show’ at Deanes, Sunday 22 August”
Change to Maghery show conditions
A snag has surfaced with insurance for the show jumping in Maghery this Sunday. Unfortunately it means that the event is now confined to Pony Club members only. The big children will have to find their own entertainment or else cheer on the small fry.
Upcoming Friday activity
It’s a while since we’ve had any instruction on Fridays but there’s plenty coming up over the next month. Francis isn’t able to run his safe towing talk/demo this Friday so instead we’ll have a jumping lesson at Glenleary to keep everybody out of trouble. The emphasis of the class will be on riding aContinue reading “Upcoming Friday activity”
